Caffeine is the substance that is thought to be the drug. But it is not rather correct reference as there is no country in the world that added it into the list of drugs and limited its taking. But those who regularly take it are under its influence. Caffeine changes the brain activity in the same way as it is changed under the effect of cocaine or heroine. The effect is not so strong but the results are the same.
The drink that has the greatest amount of caffeine is coffee. That is why people refuse to drink their favourite drink. People are warned about the harmful effect of caffeine that has coffee.
Caffeine gets into the stomach and starts to activate and stimulate the brain work eliminating sleepiness. When the person drinks coffee regularly the eye apples become bigger. The myth that coffee raises the blood pressure was ruined long time ago by doctors. But the risk of blood pressure rising is still present.
Caffeine activates not only the part that is responsible for sleeplessness but also the centre of pleasure. The time of reaction to visual and oral irritants decreases.
The caffeine output takes five-seven hours for the average person. It takes three hours for the smoker and the pregnant women need 20 hours to get rid of the caffeine.
The sudden stop of coffee use may have negative consequences that are usually accompanied with headaches. That is why it is necessary to stop coffee drinking gradually.
