Cappuccino

Cappuccino was born in Italy in one of convents in the North of Rome. It appeared thanks to Capuchin monks. At that time coffee drinking was considered to be the sin but its unusual qualities attracted the attention of monks. So they started to mix the black coffee with milk in such way killing its devil essence. The white milk was the symbol of Paradise and black coffee was the hell. And when milk was added monks thought that the good forces got the victory over the evil forces. Nowadays everything is much easier.

At first milk was simply added and later people started to beat up the milk but the foam was not stable. Then they started to warm the coffee and whipped it with the mechanical shakers. One of the mechanics changed the manufacturing technique. He lived near the convent and he invented the first machine that was cooking cappuccino. The equipment consisted of the reservoirs. Water was boiled in one of them and the got steam passed into the second one beating up the milk.

The got foam doesn't allow coffee to get cold and to loose its aroma. The classical cappuccino is the drink that consists of milk foam, hot milk and coffee. The foam turns into the thick substance and won't settle.

Sometimes different spices and chocolate powder are added to cappuccino foam. It makes the taste better and sweeter.

The new drink was so tasty that it quickly spread all over the world. And Italians have created a great number of cappuccino kinds.
