To serve coffee

There are a lot of ways of coffee serving. Every person has his/her own ritual. But there are general recommendations that are very much connected with the coffee culture and etiquette.

When people lay the table for coffee drinking, first of all they put the tools on it. Every guest must get the plate for cake. The plate is put on the left hand and the cup of coffee is put on the right. The cup should always have saucer. The handle of the cup should be directed to the right. The fork is put on the right side near the plate the hot milk and cream are also put on the table.

If coffee is served with milk, then special cups are used for it, that are bigger than the ordinary ones as coffee with milk supposes the certain amount of liquid. It is necessary not to decrease the coffee concentration and not to spoil the first taste of the drink.

The Turkish coffee is served in Eastern manner. After its cooking it is served in little cups. First the formed foam is put to the cup and then the coffee is poured into it. If you made coffee with spices, they are taken away after the foam is taken.

In dependence on the coffee sort, the glass with cool water is put. The water may be with lemon in dependence on the guest's preferences.

Sugar is always served separately and can't be put into the coffee at once. And if your guest doesn't know what to choose expresso or cappuccino, give him/her cappuccino. It is softer and won't provoke negative emotions.
